Te Akau ki Papamoa School, Bay of Plenty - This school created their vision map over two fabulous days. Four seperate maps were created from class vision maps then merged to form one big school vision map. Katikati Primary School, Bay of Plenty - Students collated class vision maps, identified areas for improvement and made a list of work to be done. Their completed vision map is proudly displayed in their school foyer. Meadowbank School, Auckland - As part of a whole school landscaping project year two students made a worm bath and feed it with their food scraps. Hukanui School, Waikato - Students taking care of their local gully by "stomping". The juniors teamed with seniors to stomp on weeds before they grow too big. Hukanui students run guided tours of the gully for their community. Onerahi School, Northland - Developed and planted a beautiful edible garden. Students were involved in each step of the process and use the vegetables to make yummy salads and stir-fries.

Handbook

The Enviroschools Handbook describes how the programme works and who can assist schools. It contains activities to assist school staff to get started.

Scrapbook

Each year the Enviroschools Foundation compiles a scrapbook. It is a rich resource made by students, teachers and facilitators from around the country. The scrapbook is a great way to get a feel for what Enviroschools is all about. Through the scrapbook all participants get to share their stories and learn from each other.

Scrapbooks can be purchased for $10 each + GST & postage. Please contact us if you would like to purchase a Scrapbook or for more information.

Kit

The Enviroschools Kit contains planners, student activities and action tools that integrate environmental education with student centred approaches and Maori perspectives. It is available to schools registered with the Enviroschools Programme.

For other organisations or groups wishing to purchase a Kit please contact us. Kits can be purchased for $300 each + GST & postage.

Awards booklet

The Enviroschools Awards booklet describes the criteria that schools need to meet at each level of the Awards - Bronze, Silver and Green/Gold. It contains tips for achieving awards and how to go about applying. It is available to schools registered with the Enviroschools Programme.

Videos / DVD's



'Enviroschools - learning for a sustainable world'

Shows how the Enviroschools process works in schools and their communities. Students and teachers from 8 enviroschools contributed their stories showing a rich variety of approaches. Total duration 45 minutes. Available on video and DVD.

'He Pae Korero - Short Stories'

Presents the Maori aspects of the Enviroschools Programme through performance and story-telling. 13 stories in total, each story approximately 3 to 7 minutes in duration. It is available only to schools registered with the Enviroschools Programme. Available on video and DVD.
