Many schools and communities around the world are looking to develop Education for Sustainability programmes.  In addition to sharing our Enviroschools experiences through school visits, resources and presentations we are now beginning to work in more depth with organisations from other countries to develop ‘sister programmes’.

Chile

In 2008 representatives from four schools attended an Enviroschools workshop in New Zealand.  Since then the schools have undertaken many enviroschools type projects and there are enquiries from other schools in Chile, to be part of this group.  Next step is to form an organization to lead the project in Chile.

Participating schools are:

Santo Domingo Model Country School, Santo Domingo

San Nicolas de Myra School, Santiago

The Grange, Santiago

Liceo Neuva Zelandia, Santa Juana

Next events:

3-5 January 2011: Enviroschools Methodology Workshop, Santo Domingo Country School.

Argentina

In August 2010 The Enviroschools Foundation was invited to Argentina to share the programme and discuss a possible partnership.  San Andres University in Buenos Aires is leading the project and will work with other organisations in Argentina.
