The programmes run by The Enviroschools Foundation (Enviroschools, Te Aho Tū Roa, Youth and Community) aim to empower and enable individuals, families and schools to work together to create healthy, peaceful and sustainable communities. Building strong connections and trusting relationships is at the heart of this, as is fostering a culture of creativity and sharing.
All programmes are designed to
- Encourage positive change and action.
- Enable the development of skills, knowledge, confidence and experience to contribute to their communities.
- Integrate Māori perspectives.
- Encourage awareness and understanding of the ecosystems that we are all part of.
- Connect children and young people/tamariki and rangatahi to contribute to their communities.
- Promote respect for the diversity of people and cultures in our communities and world.

This section contains downloadable resources for teachers and facilitators working in the Enviroschools Programme. There are inspirational resources available for early childhood centres and schools, as well as specific resources for secondary schools. A section on Māori perspectives in mainstream schools has also been developed and in time we will have supporting tools for kura and wharekura working in Te Aho Tū Roa.
