As the Environmental Education Officer you will co-ordinate and contribute to the delivery of Environment Southland's environmental education programmes. Primarily focussed on schools' education support (including co-ordination of Enviro-schools), you will also play a vital part of other educational/communication programmes within Council whereby staff are committed to engaging the Southland community to implement behaviours that protect and enhance our environment.
You will strive to maintain proactive working relationships with agencies in Southland (and beyond) who have similar goals - that of building sustainable communities for the future.
