Pukehou School in the Hawke’s Bay is the latest school to achieve an Enviroschools Green-Gold Award. They are now one of only five schools holding this award nationally and are an inspiring example of what can be achieved by students, teachers and the community all working together.
They are involved some fantastic environmental projects and it was very clear in the November 14th panel visit that Pukehou students are excited about learning, feel proud of their school and care about each other, creating a great environment for education.
The Enviroschools Awards scheme is available to all schools and involves the whole school community along with local councils, community organisations and businesses.
The Green Gold award will be presented to Pukehou School in a ceremony early next year.
