The YHA Young Conservationist Awards are an annual environmental award programme for individuals or groups under the age of 18 administered as a joint programme between YHA New Zealand and the Department of Conservation (DOC).
Entries for the 2006 Awards close on 1 September 2006. Winners will be announced on 15 September 2006.
There are four award categories. Each category is named after a native animal or plant with a significant relationship to conservation and New Zealand’s biodiversity.
