The theme of conservation week this year is "Everyting is connected".
One of the key concepts that students explore through the Me in My Environment process in the Enviroschools Kit is "Inter-relatedness, Whanaungatanga and Whakapapa". The Enviroschools Foundation has put together a resource for conservation week drawing on some of this material.
Around New Zealand many enviroschools are involved in activities for conservation week. One example is in the Auckland region, where there is a workshop for teachers and students on the theme of "Making Connections through Living Landscapes."
