...the top award in the Enviroschools Awards Scheme has been awarded to two Auckland Schools.
Two Auckland schools, Pigeon Mountain Primary School in Bucklands Beach and Verran School in Birkenhead, have been awarded the prestigious Green-Gold Enviroschools Award. This award recognises the ongoing commitmment of the students, teachers and wider community to creating a sustainable school.
The Rt Hon Chris Carter, Minister of Conservation and Sukhi Turner, Chair of The Enviroschools Foundation, will present the Green-Gold flag to Pigeon Mountain school on Friday 4th March. The date for the Verran presentation is to be confirmed.
