Taking Action for Lyttleton

Supporting colleagues, friends and the wider community was the kaupapa of the recent Enviroschools action day in Lyttleton.

On Wednesday 21st September, the Enviroschools National team, and Regional Coordinators from around Aotearoa, joined the Christchurch Enviroschools team, and Lyttleton enviroschools, to work together on action projects to help the rebuild of their community.

An amazing day was had by all with Heidi Mardon, Director of The Enviroschools Foundation, saying it was a wonderful experience working with such passionate and motivated students and staff.

Many projects were tackled such as painting a new mural at Lyttleton Main, planting a wild flower garden, creating a worm farm, spring garden clearing, playground maintenance and community gardens mahi.
