Free the Sea Campaign

'Be the Change you want to Sea'

Waking up the collective conscience to the troubles of our oceans and endangered marine species is the goal to Miranda Brown's Free the Sea Campaign.

Miranda has partnered with Enviroschools, Project Jonah and Forest and Bird in this nationwide environmental campaign aimed at raising awareness about our marine world and the human impact on the oceans.

For three weeks in May environmentally conscious consumers can support this project by purchasing a 'Free the Sea' T-shirt made from organic cotton, organic vegetable dyes and print inks.

How it works:

2. Choose your t-shirt style, colour and print design
3. Nominate 'Enviroschools' as your chosen charity
4. Pay for your t-shirt and check out!
5. $5 from the sale will be directed to us
6. You will be kept up to date with footage from Bali taking you through the making proces
7. Your tee will be delivered no later than October.

coming together to build a strong voice for action on climate change

350ppm is the atmospheric concentration of carbon dioxide that scientists say is the safe upper limit for humanity. We're currently at 389ppm, and rising at 2ppm per year.

NEWSFLASH: Volunteer Regional Field Coordinators wanted...

The 350 movement is rolling out a new organisational structure to support local 350 groups as they build the movement, pick local climate campaigns and join global solidarity actions. If you are interested in taking on a Regional Field role then email Rachel Hay rachel.hay@350.org.nz

Enviroschools from all over the country have supported the 350 Schools' Day of Climate Action with thousands of young New Zealanders taking a 350-themed action on October 23rd. Schools and communities around the country are working to build a strong voice for action on climate change!

Pure Advantage

Green Growth for Greater Wealth

...New Zealand’s economic and environmental performance is sliding, and with it our single greatest opportunity to lead the world...

'Pure Advantage' has been formed by a group of New Zealand business leaders that refute the proposition that climate change will penalise New Zealand's economic performance.

It is their belief that our country can have a better future if we take action now to protect our unique natural environment, grow our high value exports and develop new industries that will thrive in international green growth markets.

Once upon a time New Zealand was the cleanest nation in the world, with a bright economic outlook...today we're quietly slipping down the rankings on just about every environmental and economic performance indicator.  In 2006 NZ's environmental performance was ranked first out of 146 countries but last year we sadly came 15th.

Green is our competitive advantage but there's work ahead to claim it. Join the debate, show your support and say yes to Green Growth.
